Every person has masculine and feminine energy within him or her.

This feminine/masculine spectrum is a way of describing two sets of behaviors and attitudes that everyone is capable of, but each set traditionally has been ascribed either to men or to women.

Both kinds of energy are powerful tools for shaping our lives, especially when used in balance.

However many of us get out of balance by focusing on or valuing only one set over the other.

On your way to work you mentally review your goals for the day in your mind and plan out how you are going to get it all done.

On your way to work you check in with yourself about how you are feeling and get an intuitive sense of how you are going to work best today.

As you are in the midst of your work-day or a particular project...You focus on your to-do list and take the next steps right away to keep up your momentum.

As you are in the midst of your work-day or a particular project...You reflect on the big picture, intuit what the project will need next, and feel trusting that it will come together.

During a lunch with friends... You love getting support from friends and always take their advice about your work or relationship issues.

During a lunch with friends...You don't mind sharing whats going on in your life or hearing their opinions but you rely on your own judgment about whats best for you.

When you get a phone call from a stressed-out family member...You give them a piece of advice, offer to call them later, and get off the phone.

When you get a phone call from a stressed-out family member...You listen and empathize and find a nice way to get off the phone twenty minutes later.

When it nears the end of your work day...You feel tired but decide to push through and stay focused so you can leave on time.

When it nears the end of your work day...You feel tired and intuitively know that you will soon be cranky, so you take a 15-minute break to breathe and make tea, then plan to leave late.

When you want to get some exercise...You select your workout based on how your body is feeling right now.

When you want to get some exercise...You select your workout based on your fitness goals for the month.

Having dinner and dishing about your day with a friend or partner...You want to talk about the challenges of your day/week & how you are feeling

Having dinner and dishing about your day with a friend or partner...You want to talk about what you accomplished today and then crash in front of the TV.

As you relax and get ready for sleep...You quiet your mind by organizing the house and making the next days to-do list so you can have a focused start tomorrow.

As you relax and get ready for sleep...You quiet your mind by meditating and trusting that tomorrow will unfold as it should.

When faced with a difficult decision...You close your eyes, take a deep breath, and imagine how would feel with either outcome.

When faced with a difficult decision...You make a list of pros and cons and weight out your options.

In terms of your career...You have a strict plan in mind of what you are doing and where you'll be in 10 years from now.

In terms of your career...You are open to life's surprises and willing to change your course if you feel you need to.
