Today we are sharing an interview with an exceptionally talented mindset & peak performance expert, who has been changing lives all over Australia.

Andrew Sparks is the Founder of FITGRO, as well as being a Writer, Speaker & Peak Performance Coach.  For the last 5 years Andrew has been sharing his insights on how to grow powerful & success driven businesses and, as a result, has been helping entrepreneurs curate, build & actualise their business visions.

Learn more about why Andrew is this weeks #gurutowatch and how you can take part in his up & coming free webinar, by enjoying this insightful interview below.

The best part of my job is…

Being able to help people overcome their barriers, so they can make all their wildest dreams come true.

I chose to enter this field of work because…

I wasn’t getting the sort of results that I wanted for myself. I had to learn another way. Then, when I did, I had to share it with other people.

The greatest challenge in my career has been…

Moving from a tradie mentality to a business owner. At 15, I went into construction and learnt how to swing a hammer and change a tap washer, but no-one ever taught me any real business skills. Three and a half years ago I honestly did not know the difference between sales and marketing. To grow the company that I have today, I have had a very steep learning curve. I always did like a challenge…

The funniest misconceptions about my industry/company/brand are….

I want to talk about your feelings as you sit on my plush couch for the next 4 years of your life. Let’s just say my style is about taking action and getting results.

The most influential person in my career has been…

Tony Robbins was a big influence in my life to get me started on the road of personal betterment. There have literally been hundreds of people that I have learnt from, and continue to learn from, so it’s not really fair to say only one stands above any others.

FITGRO 2

If I could give one piece of advice to my 18-year-old self, it would be….

Just let it go Andrew. Let it go…

My greatest achievement has been…

Turning my life around from serious alcohol abuse and violence – to where I am today.

The greatest personal challenge I have over come is…

Coming out alive after a 6 week mountaineering expedition on the Southern Icecap in Patagonia, Chile. Winds over 100 km/h+. Frostbite. Nothing but a tent, a snow shovel, a pee bottle and hugging other men to save us from freezing and blowing away in the elements. No option but to hike out for 36 hours after 6 full weeks of exposure with a frostbitten foot in a hard boot. Buy me a water, I’ll fill in the blanks…

I don’t understand why…

Everybody wouldn’t want to be the best they can be.

I try to relax by…

Exercising. I’m a triathlete. Most people don’t think training for 3 sports is relaxing. They just don’t get it.

My biggest fear is…

Being mediocre and not being around long enough to make the impact and leave the legacy that resides in my mind and is being created daily.

I can’t live without…

Bec

I really wish I had…

Been asked to write for DG sooner… Priorities?!?!

The greatest lesson I have learnt is….

There is no such thing as failure.

If I had one super power, it would be….

The ability to read people so I can help them overcome their barriers. Oh, wait….

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be…

Richard Branson, Michael Jordan, Nelson Mandela, Will Smith

I’m not much of a fan of exercising. In fact, I quite often hate it. What I do love however, is exercising my vagina — or to be more specific — my pelvic floor muscles. Why? Because it allows me to have epic sex and incredible orgasms. Exercising your pelvic floor muscles with a simple […]

We all experience fear and anxiety at times. It’s a completely natural and helpful human emotion that helps us respond to danger — an automatic alarm that goes off in a challenging situation where we feel threatened, pressured or stressed. We feel it when we’re about to jump on a roller coaster. When we’re gearing […]

Have you ever considered how the ways you treat yourself and others are surprisingly similar? As far back as the Bible, it has been espoused that we should treat others as we would want to be treated. But this, perhaps, looks only at the inter-relationship between people. What about the intra — the importance of […]

Design your day

“Wonderful. Productive. Smooth. Successful.” This is how we want to be able to respond when someone asks us, “How was your day?” With everything on our plate, those words often seem unrealistic.  But despite our waking hours being filled with a rush of activity that has the potential to send us into a state of […]
